LYGNA, Norway – Four members of the Colorado Buffaloes Ski Team took part in the Junior and U23 World Cross Country Championships in late February, a trip highlighted by sophomore Will Koch winning a bronze medal in the 4x5K relay for Team USA.
Koch, along with freshmen Alexander Maurer (USA) and Karolina Kaleta (Poland) all participated in the Junior level events while sophomore Weronika Kaleta, fresh off her appearance in the XXIV Winter Olympic Games, took part in the U23 competitions.
Koch anchored the men's relay team that took third place alongside two Utah Utes, Brian Bushey and Walker Hall, with Michael Earnhart also on the team.
