A Colorado golf legend and a rising local star still writing her own history will soon cross paths for a memorable moment.
University of Colorado legend and golf Hall of Famer Hale Irwin will be at the Meridian Golf Club in Englewood on Monday afternoon to announce the winners of the inaugural Hale Irwin Medals, and the first recipients of the honor also boast local ties.
The initial winners of the Irwin Medals will be Westminster's Jennifer Kupcho and former CU golfer Dale Douglass, a Buffs standout in the 1950s who won the 1986 U.S. Senior Open.
