BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field alum Sage Hurta was named to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team Thursday morning.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America program is the longest-running and most prestigious academic and athletic award for student-athletes. All nominees must have a GPA of 3.30 or above and be a starter or important reserve in their respected sport.
This is Hurta's third such honor, making her the seventh CU Buff to earn three Academic All-America honors. She joins Jenny Barringer and Ben Saarel as the only members of the cross country and track and field program to accomplish this feat.
