Freshman Gunner Rigsby won the long jump event Friday as the Colorado track and field program opened its 2018 indoor season at the Potts Invitational in Boulder.
Rigsby captured his first title with a mark of 22 feet, 8 ½ inches on his second attempt. Teammate Dionne Taylor Jr. finished seventh in the long jump landing a 21-2.
In the high jump, two Buffs took home third-place honors, as Michaela Michaela Wenning cleared 5-7 ¼ , and Giancarlo Narvarte 6-5.
Bri Gibbs is quickly finding her groove in the women's pole vault as she tied for second with a mark of 11-11 ¾ , also for the Buffs.
