Golfers Zoom Into 10th In Stanford's "The Goodwin"

PALO ALTO, Calif. — The University of Colorado men's golf team recorded its best improvement from one round to the next in four years here Friday, as the Buffaloes zoomed into 10th place after two rounds of Stanford's "The Goodwin."

Colorado, ranked No. 74 by Golfweek, improved 18 strokes from its first round score of 16-over 296 with a 2-under par 278, its best single round effort of the season. In posting the second-best score of the round in the 28-team field, CU was the big mover of the day, going from 22nd into 10th place with a 14-over team tally of 574.
