Golfers Finish 13th In First Tournament Of Spring

Drop two spots in final round of Amer Ari Invitational

WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i — The University of Colorado men's golf team opened its spring season here this weekend and finished 13th Saturday as the 29th annual Hawai'i-Hilo Amer Ari Invitational came to a close.

The Buffaloes had a fairly pedestrian performance here, not posting many big numbers but just couldn't get any of their contingent on a roll. The end result was a 3-over 291 score for the final 18 holes and an overall team score of 863, which was 1-under par overall.

No. 1 Pepperdine rallied for the team victory, using the day's low round to move from fourth into the winner's circle with an 825 team score (39-under par).
