BOULDER – What a difference a year can make. Last season, the forwards were a question mark going into the season, having lost both starters (Emily Bruder and Danica Evans) to graduation and the NWSL Draft.
Heading into 2018, the Buffs have their top four goal scorers from a year ago returning, while adding three forwards that were lost to injury last season, and two freshmen. Perhaps the most telling statistic for the strikers is that 30 of the 31 goals scored in 2017 were scored by players returning this fall.
Last season, newcomers Marty Puketapu and Tatum Barton emerged to combine for 14 goals atop the attack.
