BOULDER – Using dates and details provided by our own sources, in addition to those provided by the Daily Camera, Sports Illustrated and University of Colorado’s Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano, we compiled a timeline of what happened and when in Joe Tumpkin’s domestic violence case.
Feb. 2015 – Nov. 21, 2016: Alleged 80 or so episodes of abuse by Tumpkin on his now ex-girlfriend (we’ll call her Emma).
Dec. 9, 2016: Trisha MacIntyre, the wife of Colorado’s head coach Mike MacIntyre, receives a Facebook message from Emma.
Dec. 9, 2016: Mike MacIntyre and Emma are on the phone for 34-minutes, she informs him of what has been going on, but she gives the coach no evidence.
