For the third consecutive year, coach Danny Sanchez's Colorado women's soccer program was represented in the annual National Women's Soccer League draft.
On Thursday it was Erin Greening's turn. The senior defender was selected in the third round (25th overall) of the NWSL draft by the Orlando Pride. If Greening signs she will be reunited with former CU teammate Danica Evans, also a third-round pick of the Pride in 2017.
Despite a senior season limited to 12 games due to a knee injury this past fall, Greening still appeared in 74 games as a four-year contributor for the Buffs.
