SAN FRANCISCO — The University of Colorado women's tennis junior Aya El Sayed captured a pair of victories here Saturday to advance to the finals in the consolation bracket at the Battle In The Bay Classic.
El Sayed started the day taking down Pac-12 foe Nathalie Rodilosso of USC in deciding fashion. El Sayed won the match in straight sets, scoring 6-3 in both sets.
Moving on to the semifinals, El Sayed faced another conference foe in Sedona Gallagher of ASU. El Sayed took a close first set 7-6(3) before falling 6-3 in the second.
