BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field program has a total of eight current and former athletes competing this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa, in the 2019 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships, beginning tomorrow and running through Sunday.
Current CU student-athlete Dani Jones is slated to compete next to former CU great Jenny (Barringer) Simpson in the women's 1,500, while volunteer assistant coach Riley Masters will run in the men's 5,000. Former Buffs also in competition include Emma Coburn in the women's steeplechase, Nick Harris in the men's 1,500, Connor Winter in the men's 5,000 and 10,000, Erin Clark in the women's 10,000 and Andrew Ghizzone in the men's decathlon.
