Early returns from 3-point range promising for CU Buffs basketball

There is little chance the Colorado men’s basketball team will maintain the torrid pace it has set from the 3-point line through the season’s first three games.

Still, CU’s shortcomings from long range a year ago made that part of CU’s game one of the most significant questions among the few surrounding the 2019-20 Buffs. So far, CU is doing its best to put those concerns to rest.

No. 23 CU went 9-for-19 from the 3-point arc during Monday’s defense-fueled 69-53 victory against UC Irvine. It was the third straight encouraging performance from long range for the Buffs, who last year turned in one of the worst 3-point efforts of the Tad Boyle coaching era.
