BOULDER – Cross Country's John Dressel and Sage Hurta were named the CU Athletes of The Week, presented by Arrow, for the week of Oct. 14-20.
Dressel, a senior from Cobert, Wash., led the Buffs to a second-place team finish last Saturday at NCAA Pre-Nationals as he placed eighth overall in the 8-kilometer race. He crossed the finish in 23:34.4, just a split second in front of teammate Joe Klecker (23:35.3) who was ninth. Dressel ran a smart and steady race as he was near the head of the field the entire race.
