PALMER, Alaska—Freshman Erik Dengerud won the Individual RMISA Championship in the men's 10K freestyle race, propelling the University of Colorado ski team to second place and just two points behind the leader after the first day of the 70th Annual RMISA Championships here Wednesday at Government Peak.
Dengerud's win is the first of his career and four other Buffs finished in the top 10. Sophomore Sondre Bollum finished fifth and junior Andrew Potyk 10th in the men's race while senior Christina Rolandsen hit the podium in third place and sophomore Hedda Baangman finished sixth in the women's 5k race.
