The state of Florida has been a pipeline for Colorado since Deion Sanders took over in Boulder. Coach Prime has taken pleasure in beating his alma mater, Florida State, for prospects, whether that's for uncommitted recruits or, even better, flipping recruits who were already pledged to the Seminoles.
Sanders has done it time and time again. None more high profile than luring Travis Hunter, the No. 1 recruit in the country and long considered a Florida State lean, to Jackson State in the 2022 class.
In the 2026 cycle, Sanders already has one former Florida State commitment in the class: 3-star OT Xavier Lucas.
