Darrin Chiaverini named interim head coach of Colorado Buffaloes

After last night’s news that Mel Tucker would be leaving for Michigan State, the University of Colorado has promoted Darrin Chiaverini to interim head coach.

Darrin Chiaverini has been named Colorado’s interim head coach. Also a name the school will look at to replace Mel Tucker permanently as well.

Chiaverini has been on the Buffs’ coaching staff since 2016. He has served as a wide receivers coach, co-offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator. He is known for his recruiting acumen, fighting spirit and love for the program.
