Buff junior has won three matches in two days
NAIRN, Scotland — University of Colorado junior John Paterson won both his matches here Thursday to advance into the quarterfinals of the British Amateur, his second time competing in the prestigious event.
Paterson, who hails from St. Andrews, Scotland was ranked 567th in the most recent world amateur golf rankings, tied for sixth in the stroke play portion of the event, turning in a 72-69—141 scorecard, good for 1-under par on the 6,828-yard, par-71 Nairn Golf Club course layout.
