CU women's soccer garners more individual honors with Kornieck's USC All-America nod

After finishing second on the Colorado women's soccer team with 28 points in 2018, Buffs junior Taylor Kornieck was named second-team All-America by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) on Thursday, making her the school's second student-athlete to receive the honor from the organization and the first All-American for the Buffaloes since 2006.

Kornieck joins Fran Munnelly as the only other Colorado student-athlete to earn All-America honors from the USC. Munnelly earned second and third-team selections in her tenure as a Buff in 2004 and 2005. Nikki Marshall was a 2006 fourth-team Soccer Buzz Online All-American.

"Taylor came to Colorado to make an impact and she has done just that," head coach Danny Sanchez said.
