CU lacrosse's Ann Elliott repeats as IWLCA regional Coach of Year

It's a repeat for Colorado women's lacrosse coach Ann Elliott.

After guiding the Buffaloes to their first NCAA Tournament victory in the fifth year of the program's existence, Elliott on Thursday was named the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association West/Midwest Region Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Elliott, who also won the first Pac-12 Conference Coach of the Year honor this past season, led the Buffs to a 14-6 record and the regular season title in the Pac-12, which hosted a women's lacrosse league for the first time in 2018. Though the Buffs lost to Stanford in the Pac-12 title game at home, CU received its second consecutive NCAA Tournament bid and posted the program's first win in the tourney, a 23-18 victory against Jacksonville.
