CU hoops' Mike Rohn promoted to associate head coach

Colorado head coach Tad Boyle announced that longtime assistant coach Mike Rohn has been promoted to associate head coach.

A part of CU's staff since Boyle took over prior to the 2010-11 season, Rohn takes over the associate head coach spot vacated this past summer by Jean Prioleau, who left CU to become the head coach at San Jose State.

Boyle admitted the new title doesn't necessarily add new responsibilities to Rohn's job description, but the move rewards Rohn's efforts in building a program that reached the NCAA Tournament four times during the staff's first seven seasons at CU, and acknowledges what Boyle believes is Rohn's potential to one day be a head coach.
