BROOKLYN, N.Y. — One day after getting outrebounded for the first time this season, the Colorado Buffaloes resumed their dominance on the glass.
Relying on rebounding and defense, the Buffs bounced back from Monday night's loss against Notre Dame to top Texas 68-54 Tuesday afternoon in their final game at the Legends Classic.
CU outrebounded the No. 22-ranked Longhorns 41-32, leading the way to a key 14-0 advantage in second-chance points during the first half.
The Buffs led by 12 points following a George King 3-pointer with about eight minutes remaining but had to fight off the Longhorns down the stretch.
