The CU Buffs (3-1), fresh off a 34-31 victory at Arizona State late Saturday night, are the biggest climber in the second Denver Post Best of the West College Football Top 25 poll for 2019, released this morning at www.DenverPost.com.

The Buffs jumped from No. 14 in last week’s poll to No. 8 after stunning the then-No. 24 Sun Devils for the program’s first-ever road win against ASU and its second victory over a ranked team in September. Mel Tucker, who wore wear black shorts during the contest to counter the Arizona heat, is the first CU coach to come out of the opening month of the season with two top 25 victories under his belt since Rick Neuheisel in 1995.
