When the Colorado Buffaloes take on the USC Trojans on Friday night (7:00 pm, ESPN2), it will be a blackout. Late Wednesday night the Buffs announced their uniforms and it’s going to be the all-blacks.
These uniforms have always been better in theory than in practice. On the one hand, going all-black looks cool, especially when you have Nu’umotu Falo modeling with his gorgeous hair and tattoos. (Falo should seriously consider a modeling career after graduating). But the Buffs lose their gold helmets, the best helmets in college football; the better blackout uniforms — CU’s unquestioned best look — are gold-black-black.
