Colorado Secures a Pair in Saturday’s Finals

Scott secures All-American finish

AUSTIN, Texas – It was the women's turn Thursday in Austin as a pair of Colorado track and field women cemented their spots in finals Saturday for the 2019 NCAA National Championships.

Val Constien and Gabby Scott advanced through in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 400 hurdle prelims, both picking up automatic qualifying finishes in their heat. Scott secured her first NCAA Outdoor First Team All-American honor with the finish as she advances to the eight-person final.

Constien went to work first for the Buffs after the first heat of the steeplechase prelims finished in a slow 9:49.
