Colorado legend Darian Hagan leaves Buffaloes to coach at SDSU

The mass coaching exodus in Boulder continues on, as Darian Hagan is now heading to San Diego State to be their new running backs coaching. Hagan has been around in Boulder for a very long time, both as a player and a coach. During CU’s legendary 1990 season, Hagan acted as the QB that led the Buffs to an Orange Bowl victory over Notre Dame to win their only National Championship.

As for the coaching side of things, Hagan was Colorado’s RB coach from 2006-10 and 2016-22. In 2023, Hagan stepped back into an ambassador role after Deion Sanders became the Buffaloes’ head coach.
