Jim Jeffcoat is out of Boulder. The man was a great guy, a good coach, and helped CU rise out of the pure depths into relevance. But it was time for both parties to move on, and move on they did.
So, the Buffs had a DL coach opening. With the 10th assistant spot filled by CB coach Ashley Ambrose, it was the only opening left. MacIntyre’s track record for finding defensive coaching talent is well-recognized. His hires last year (ShaDon Brown, Ross Els, and DJ Eliot at DC) were an overall plus and Brown may be my favorite assistant coach on staff.
