LAS VEGAS – The Colorado women's tennis program saw Mila Stanojevic and Elys Ventura take down the 2-seed in the doubles tournament to advance to the semifinals at the ITA Mountain Regional Championships.
Two CU teams competed against ranked pairs in the round of 16 doubles here today.
Sixth-ranked Britt Pursell and Taylor Melville of DU defeated Ellen Puzak and Betina Tokac with a score of 8-3. Later on, 13-seed Mila Stanojevic and Elys Ventura won a very close match against the eighth-ranked duo out of Utah, Kaila Barksdale and Marcela Lopez.
