SEATTLE – A slow start for the Colorado women's basketball team proved to be too much to overcome on Friday. The Buffaloes got down early and were unable to mount a comeback, falling 68-58 to Washington.
The loss drops Colorado to 0-4 in the Pac-12 and 10-5 overall. Washington improves to 8-8 on the season and 1-3 in conference play.
Washington scored 27 points in the first quarter and led by as many as 15 in the first half. The Buffs, playing without , cut the UW lead down to six late in the second quarter.
