COLORADO SPRINGS — The University of Colorado track and field program closed out the 2022 calendar year on the second day of the Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Open here Saturday with the shot put and heptathlon in competition.
Nick Bianco and Troy Colleran finished up the heptathlon with the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault and 1,000-meter dash. Bianco won the 60-meter hurdles portion in 8.30 while Colleran ran 8.93. The pole vault came up next with Colleran clearing 4.40m (14-5.25) while Bianco unfortunately no-heighted. Bianco finished out the day with a seventh-place finish in the 1,000-meter run at 2:54.
