The Colorado Buffaloes and the USC Trojans have a HEATED rivalry in college basketball. The Buffs have done well against the Trojans since super guard Jordan McLaughlin left and 2020 (the waning hours!) is no exception.
In the first half, McKinley Wright showed no lingering effects from his ankle injury against Arizona, dicing USC up for 11 points and 3 assists at half. Evan Battey directed traffic against the zone and D’Shawn Schwartz got back to his scoring ways, with nine points at the half. Isaiah Mobley and Evan Mobley, two gigantic condors in the middle for the Trojans, had their way with CU down low, but the Buffs were fortunate that USC didn’t consistently get the ball down to those two NBA-level players.
