Cold snap from the arc compounding CU Buffs defensive woes

After posting the second-lowest 3-point percentage of the Tad Boyle era last season, the Colorado Buffaloes spent the offseason attempting to improve their long-range marksmanship.

For the most part, that work has been a resounding success throughout the 2019-20 season. Yet the Buffs are struggling to thaw out from a cold snap that has struck CU at the most inopportune time.

Saturday’s loss at Utah was painful on a number of fronts for the Buffs, as it extended the regular season-ending losing streak to four. It also pushed CU out of its season-long goal of landing in the league’s top four and receiving a first-round bye at the Pac-12 Conference tournament this week in Las Vegas.
