Buffs Tied For 12th After First Round at Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES, Calif. — The University of Colorado women's golf team is currently tied for 12th after the first round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge after shooting a 23-over 307 at the par 71, 6,017-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club.

A trio of Pac-12 teams are in the top three. UCLA leads the field at 7-over (291), while Stanford is second with an 11-over 295. Southern California is tied for third with Ohio State and Texas. All three shot a 15-over 299.

CU is tied with Florida State and Alabama.

"This is a very tough course and we had tough weather conditions (very wet rain off and on all day)," head coach Anne Kelly said.
