Buffs Suffer Sweep to Cougs

BOULDER – The University of Colorado volleyball team couldn't overcome the blocking presence of No.24-ranked Washington State Thursday evening as the Cougars powered to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-16) sweep of the Buffaloes in Boulder.

Colorado (8-11, 0-9 Pac-12) struggled all evening to land the ball on Washington State's (16-4, 6-3 Pac-12) side of the court. The team committed 22 attack errors and hit .060 that included a -.036 third set performance. WSU forced down 13 of those attack errors by blocks and hit .243 to put CU away.
