BOULDER — Colorado sophomore middle-distance ace Sage Hurta is providing her coaches with a rather interesting dilemma.
It is a simple question with no simple answer: what events should Hurta run at next weekend's Pac-12 championships and the ensuing NCAA West Preliminaries?
Hurta could run the steeplechase. The CU sophomore finished second in the Pac-12 in the event last year as a true freshman, and she currently has the third-fastest time in the conference this year with a 10:04.85. (The Buffs currently hold the 2-3-4 spots in the league with Erin Clark, Hurta and Val Constien.
