BOULDER—The Colorado Ski Team will host the Eighth Annual Spencer James Nelson Memorial Invitational this week at Eldora and Steamboat Springs, bringing together teams from the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association for the second alpine and first Nordic action early in the 2020 season.
The alpine portion of the meet will be hosted at Eldora Mountain Resort January 15-17 and the Nordic portion of the meet will take place in Steamboat Springs January 18-19.
The Invitational is named after Spencer Nelson, who passed away in a hiking accident near Aspen in August 2010, just prior to the start of his sophomore season at CU.
