Buffs Ranked Third in Men’s And Women’s USTFCCCA Polls

NEW ORLEANS — For the first time this season, the University of Colorado cross country teams saw movement in the USTFCCCA polls as both are ranked third.

The women's team slid from first to third, while the men's team moved up from fourth to third.

The CU men won the Joe Piane Invitational last Friday, Oct. 4, defeating Ole Miss 71-107. The Buffs were led by third place finish, while took 10. placed 14 and took 18. CU's final scorer was Alex Hornecker, who placed 26.

The Buffs recorded 297 points to leap-frog Washington, which had been third.
