COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – Colorado opened the season with a 3-0 victory over Air Force on Friday. Kayleigh Webb, Tatum Barton and Taylor Kornieck each contributed a goal, as 21 players in total saw action.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Colorado opened the game and the season on the offensive, creating a handful of scoring opportunities early on.
Freshman Kayleigh Webb opened the scoring for the Buffaloes in the 10thminute, when she finished a chaotic opportunity off of Libby Geraghty's corner kick.
Colorado's defense stifled the Air Force attack for the remainder of the half.
