Buffs Make History With Second Place Finish At Ram Classic

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Bolstered by a third-straight under-par team round, the University of Colorado women's golf team finished in second place at the Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club on Tuesday while cementing one of the top overall tournament performances in program history.

Colorado's 54-hole score of 837, 27-under-par, is the second-lowest total in the 30-year history of the program. Colorado State took the team title, setting its own school 54-hole record at 46-under, 818. The Buffaloes and Rams both shot 5-under in Tuesday's final round. Long Beach State was a distant third at 10-under, 854.
