BOULDER — The University of Colorado track and field team kicked off the 2017 outdoor season strong, as won the hammer throw here Friday afternoon at Potts Field.
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Buffs started the day with the men's hammer throw. Mathew Denton, with a mid-season toss, took home the event title with a 179-9.75 mark that was over five meters farther than the next competitor. Denton's mark earned him a PR in the event beating his previous distance of 168-3 from his 2015 season. Teammate Greyson Webber finished in second place with a toss of 162-8.
