Senior John Souza has been named as the Pac-12 Men’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference office announced Friday. He is the first CU men’s golfer to be honored with the award.
Souza owns a 3.32 grade point average and is majoring in Economics at Colorado, and is earning a minor in Communication. He is on schedule to graduate next month.
Those eligible for the honor must be a senior in athletic eligibility, on track to receive a degree, have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests in the sport and have attended the institution for at least one year.
