LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic — The University of Colorado women's golf team struggled through the first two rounds of the Tar Heel Classic Hosted by Suzy Whaley on Friday and is currently 13th in the standings.
"The team is disappointed and will do our best to make a comeback tomorrow," head coach Anne Kelly said. "The bright spots were Elle's (Otten) first round and solid play by Kirsty (Hodgkins). Other than that, we need to learn to respect the course and play the conditions better."
CU posted rounds of 300 and 309 and is 33-over after the first day.
