RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. — The University of Colorado women's golf team is in 12th place after the first two rounds of the San Diego State Classic, shooting a 36-hole total of 61-over par, 637, at The Farms Golf Club on Monday.
No. 30 ranked Iowa State is in the lead at 16-over, thanks in part to the day's best team round with a 1-over 289 over the second 18 holes. The Cyclones hold a six-stroke lead over No. 39 Georgia and 10-stroke advantage over No. 50 Denver.
Colorado had a rough first round, but had an admirable bounce back in the second.
