BOULDER - The Colorado women's soccer team fell 2-1 to No. 1 Florida State Seminoles in front of over 2,000 fans at Prentup Field Sunday.
The Buffs welcomed the 2020 national runner up to Boulder in a highly anticipated matchup that drew the third largest crowd in Colorado soccer history. The Buffs made a valiant effort, but the visitors from the ACC shut down their upset hopes.
Tied at the half, all three goals of the contest came in the second period of play. Florida State scored the first two and Colorado got one back but could not punch in another to send the match to overtime.
