LINCOLN, Neb. — University of Colorado senior Abrianna Torres finished 11th in the pentathlon on Friday at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.
Torres finished with 3,646 points, while sophomore Andrew Ghizzone completed the first day of the heptathlon in 11th place with 2,578 points.
Torres started the day off running the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 14th with a time of 9.11 seconds. She moved onto the high jump and performed slightly better, finishing 11th (5-1.75). Continuing her climb up the standings, Torres improved yet again in her strongest event, the shot put. Her mark of 42-6.
