Senior Andrew Ghizzone becomes the University of Colorado's first MPSF heptathlon champion Saturday, winning the title with 5,519 total points.
The women finished sixth overall with 41 total points, just one place off their best MPSF finish, fifth. The men earned 49 total points to finish in sixth place to tie their best conference in school history.
Ghizzone etched his name in the Colorado record book Saturday by not only becoming the first ever MPSF heptathlon champion for the Buffs but also the first ever multi-event champion, indoors or outdoors for CU.
