WOLCOTT, Colo. – The University of Colorado women's golf team had three of its four scorers finished under par to give it one of the best starts and rounds in the last five seasons as the Buffaloes fired a 5-under 283 on the first day of the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
Colorado is tied for fourth with Central Arkansas and Denver. The trio is only four strokes back from the lead, which is held by Northern Arizona and East Tennessee State, which both finished the day 9-under (279). BYU is third (281). Colorado has a three-stroke advantage over Kennesaw State (286) and has another five strokes on Washington State, Rutgers and Delaware, which are tied for eighth.
