BOULDER — The University of Colorado men's golf team is set to open the spring portion of its 2021-22 season this Friday in the inaugural Wyoming Desert Match Play in Palm Desert, Calif.
It is the first time a CU team will open the spring in a match play event, and the first time in anything other than a dual match since the late 1960s before the sport moved on to mostly tournament events.
"We have been looking forward to starting the spring season ever since we left Hawaii at the end of October, head coach Roy Edwards said.
