BOULDER —Colorado senior defender Sarah Brown was drafted on Monday night by the New York Fight, the Women's Professional Lacrosse League announced.
Brown was one of 25 college seniors who were drafted in the WPLL's first collegiate draft and will be the second Buff to play in the WPLL during its inaugural season this summer as former CU goalkeeper Paige Soenksen was drafted by the Philadelphia Fire this past February.
The Boulder, Colo. native was recently named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. She was a two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week and was selected to the all-conference first team.
