NORMAN, Okla. — University of Colorado freshman golfer Justin Biwer fashioned a second round, 1-over par 73 here Tuesday in the NCAA Midwest/Norman Regional, remaining in contention to advance to the NCAA Finals individually.
The top five teams and one individual not on those five after the 54-hole meet will advance to the NCAA Finals later this month in Scottsdale, Ariz. Biwer, tied for 24th in the standings, is in a 1-over 145 through 36 holes, with four players not attached to teams currently at 3-under par. The situation is most fluid as it will change if the top five teams change; of the 23 players ahead of him, 14 are on those teams.
