13 athletes from CU Buffs track and field programs earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors

Once again, Colorado's track and field programs have set a solid pace in the classroom.

On Thursday, 13 student-athletes from coach Mark Wetmore's program were named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic teams.

Eleven of those Buffaloes athletes were from the CU women's program, including Monarch alum Kaitlyn Benner, who finished seventh in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Championships in June. Erin Clark, who finished an accomplished career by finishing ninth in the 10K and 13th in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA finals, also earned All-Academic honors. Joining that duo from the women's team among the USTFCCCA All-Academic honorees were Legacy alum Melanie Nun, Elisa Grandemange, Eriana Henderson, Pac-12 steeplechase champ Sage Hurta, Makena Morley, Gabby Scott, Valerie Welch, Michaela Wenning, and Maja Wichhart-Donzo.
